The wine from the “forest”. Basoa is the most accurate summary of who we are. History, heritage and landscape. It is the result of generations of hard work and the reflection of our humble plot of land.
Centuries ago, a man decided to settle on this land and cultivate these fields. This intimate connection with nature is what inspired us to create this wine which evokes the small forest which a man inhabited for the first time. This is the place where nature blessed us with a uniquely original forest, as unique as the vineyards that now surround it.
The goal of this wine is to directly connect us to nature. Basoa originates from a selection of plots that belong to different municipalities of Yécora, Viñaspre and Esquide. The vines are planted on very poor calcareous soils, surrounded by Gall oaks and Holm oaks. Old vines predominate and their fruit is blended with grapes from younger vineyards that have been carefully selected and cared for.
The grape harvest is carried out in small crates and the fermentation is meticulously carried out plot by plot using concrete, stainless steel and wood depending on the characteristics of the grapes. The “crianza” red wine is aged in 500-litre French oak barrels.

On the palate, the wine has a full body with a lingering taste of ripe fruit that is both fresh and balsamic. It has a smooth and textured aftertaste which perfectly embodies the nobility of its oak ageing.
